ABOUT BRAM
Bram Ven was born on the 26th of July 1996 in Amstelveen, The Netherlands.
After he tried several different hobbies and sports (soccer, swimming, gymnastics and playing the piano), he applied at the NJMT (National Youth Musical Theatre, formerly known as SJMA) in Amsterdam in 2004. With great pleasure he took singing, acting and dancing classes, soon tapdance would follow. After getting to the final auditions for “Ciske de Rat de Musical”, Bram found out he had a talent for musical. This developed even more, when he got to play one of the main parts, Edmund, in “Narnia de musical”, produced by the NJMT. More parts in national (youth-)productions would follow.
His ambition to be a professional musical artist was born. In 2013 he, successfully, auditioned for the pre-course Musical theatre at Fontys School of Fine and Performing Arts in Tilburg. This one year study served as a preliminary education to the bachelor degree in Musical theatre. A year later, after another audition process, he started his bachelor degree in Musical Theatre at Fontys. At this point Bram knew that his passion for singing and theatre would become his professional future. After graduating he continued his academic journey at the Master of Music in Musical Theatre, also at Fontys. Simultaneously, Bram did the three-year course at the Meisner Toneelacademie in Den Bosch. He was trained by Paul Dekker in this acting-method founded by Sanford Meisner and William Esper.
The last few years Bram played in several professional musical theatre shows in The Netherlands and is active as a singer/actor at different performances. He developed a powerful tenor-voice with a nice baritone-timbre. Throughout all his singing you’ll feel the connection as an actor in the story told by the song.
