Martje started with acrobatic-dance when she was 7 years old, in a small village in the south of the Netherlands. She has done this style (comparable to Can Can – Moulin Rouge) at European competition level until she was ready to delve into academic techniques. After her MBO of hospitality & entertainment where she worked for half a year at a Spanish resort, she followed the 4-year study (Bachelor) at the Lucia Marthas Institute for Performing Arts in Amsterdam to become a

performer and a teacher. Her love for Latin standard dance started during this study and her passion for musical theater and jazz dance managed to develop to a higher level. In the Netherlands she’s currently working as a freelancer performer, dancing in theatre, cabaret, video clips and variety shows!
