Iwan Oorburg

Iwan hails from the charming town of Zwolle in the Netherlands, where his passion for singing and dancing began at an early age.

He pursued his love for musical theatre at the prestigious Fontys Academy of Arts, earning a bachelor’s degree in the field.

Now based in Amsterdam, Iwan has performed in a variety of acclaimed Dutch musicals, including Zodiac, De Nieuwe Lichting, and Hij Gelooft In Mij. Most recently, he delighted audiences in the ABBA hit musical Mamma Mia! as a cover for both Sky and Pepper.

In the winter of 2024/25, Iwan embarked on an exciting new chapter, joining his first cruise ship as the lead singer in production shows sailing the Baltic Sea.

A unique and endearing fun fact about Iwan is that he grew up on a containership, thanks to his family’s maritime roots—making the sea feel like home!
